Engr. (Mrs.) Janet Adeyemi is the president of Women in Mining in Nigeria, an affiliate of International Women in Mining. She is also the founder of Succour for Battered Lives (SUBATEL) a charity organization fending for victim from avalanche of disasters and also serving on the Strategic Development and Policy Implementation Committee of Ondo State government. Janet is an astute politician, seasoned Administrator and a human right crusader having served as a National Legislator, Presidential Adviser, member and chairman of various committees and commissions. She is a dedicated mother, a disciplinarian, yet jubilant and cheerful. Janet wishes you a joyous and jubilant week!

A champion of the right of the woman, Honorable Engineer (Mrs.) Febisola janet Adeyemi enjoys the rare reputation of exemplified commitment to the less privileged in the society especially the disable in the society and gender issues. Between 1999 and 2003, she served as a Member of the federal House of Representatives for IIe Oluji/ Oke-Ibo/ Odigbo Federal Constituency. And it is to the credit of this leading voice for women that the bill on ‘Female genital mutilation’ was initiated and led to the enactment of the law against Female genital mutilation.

Founder of Succor for Battered Lives (SUBATEL) and President of Women in Mining in Nigeria (WIMIN), an avowed crusader against corruption and intimidation, Mrs. Adeyemi is currently the chairperson of United Nation National Consultative Group for Electoral Reform Funded through UNIFEM. An Engineer by training, a technocrat by skills and advocate by calling, she is a face for good governance and gender equality with dedication to humanitarian efforts globally and working experiences in North America, Europe and Africa. Janet Adeyemi’s dedication to gender issues has taken her around the world through mobilization of Knowledge, strengthening capacities and support research that will increase women’s security and gender responsiveness of policies, programs and institutions. Apart from her commitment to Women in Mining, and Succor for Battered Lives; she also served on the Executive Board for Gift of Empowerment – a 501c non-profit in the area of International Development. This advocacy fervor is borne out of over 30 years first line direct experience at diverse levels in Legislative, commercial, environment, water resources management, engineering, humanitarian and political affairs in public and private arenas, both in Nigeria and across the continents. She is a graduate of International Centre for Gender, Peace and Security which is in partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the UN Entity for Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment.

She holds membership of 14 professional bodies, former chairman of Cocoa Processing Company, Ondo State between 2003 and 2006; Presidential Liaison Officer in the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 2003-2007; Special Assistant to President Olusegun Obasanjo from 2004 to 2007; Managing Director of jabridep Nig Ltd since 2007; She holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Geology, Master of Science Water and Waste Water Engineering, Diploma in Management Dublin; Certificate in Demas Investigation – Institute of Water resource Kaduna; Diploma in Legislative Drafting – Tulane University New Orleans, U.S.A; and Honorary Doctorate Degree- Columbus International University, the United Kingdom.

Honorable Engineer (Mrs.) Janet Febisola Adeyemi loves writing music, designing and travelling; but above all, she is a Christian member of Redeemed Christian Church of God where she co- ordinates the women fellowship, Not Known to many is that Honorable janet Adeyemi is also the Founder and Co-Ordinator of Ifelere Women Cooperative Association. In recognition of these sterling qualities and contribution to the development of humanity, the Board and Council of MMS Woman of Fortune Hall of Fame inducts Mrs. Janet Adeyemi as a member this 26th Day of October, 2017
