Mrs. Priscilla Ogwemoh is the managing partner of Olisa Agbakoba & Associates, one of the highly respected law firms in the country that has since carved a difference for itself in maritime practice. Priscilla Ogwemoh since 2000 has served as the Managing partner, Olisa Agbakoba Legal where she oversees the general administration and daily activities of the multifaceted law firm. Notably, Priscilla has been with the firm of Olisa Agbaokoba since 1992; becoming through her consistency and dedication to duty a pillar of a sort in this thriving legal business. A 1990 graduate of law of the Ahmadu Bello University, she was called to the Nigeria Bar in 1991 and obtained her Masters in Law (LL.M)from Lagos State University in 2002 with specialization in Maritime and Commercial Law. With over two decades experience in legal practice both local and internationally;she is an expert in shipping and admiralty law; dispute resolution, International trade and finance law, and real estate, among others.

For many years the editor of the Maritime delivered seminal papers on diverse legal issues at several for a,she boasts of diverse experience in corporate and commercial law practice and serves as Company Secretary to notable organizations across key sectors of the economy-banking, oil and gas, agriculture,property and shipping and transport.

This avid practitioner of arbitration and mediation is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitration of Nigeria, accredited as a mediator to United Kingdom Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution; (CEDR – UK) and is also a member of the Negotiation and Conflict Management Group (NCMG), and a legal adviser to the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC).

Unarguably one of the leading women mediators in Nigeria, she currently serves as the Director of the OA&A Arbitration and Mediation Centre which is the first law firm annexed ADR centre Nigeria. With her wide experience in alternative dispute resolution. She has engaged successfully in mediating prominent national and international disputes over the last 15 years. They include;the $8 million Walvis Vs Chevron dispute and the largest mediation settlement in Nigeria, between the Nigeria Security Printing and Minting Company (NSPMC)and its ex workers. An active member of the international Bar Association (IBA), and member of the Nigeria Bar Association Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL); on account of her activities in SBL, she was recently elected the Treasurer of the section of the Nigeria Bar Association.

Priscilla is also a member of the Maritime LAW Society, Institute of Directors (IoD), Women in shipping and Trade Association WISTA) AND Nigeria Institute of Management.

Priscilla is a judge of the International Law Students Association Jessup Moot Court Competition and has assessed several memorials in the competition since 2013.
